January 30 marks the end of the annual National School Choice Week (NSCW). It sounds innocent enough I suppose. But make no mistake: NSCW is a propaganda campaign funded by deeply conservative, deep-pocketed actors who seek to undermine our public education system. Joe Biden’s election will not slow them down. While Miguel Cardona, the nominee for Secretary of Education, is no Cruella DeVos, he is also not the antidote to the toxic, ongoing campaign to unravel our public system.
