Love this Steve. It describes the relationship that I have with a tree in Central Park, or shall I say love affair with MyTree. When I visit and talk, the tree inevitably drops a leaf on my shoulder. So dear to me.

Lovely! I've a high school classmate whose pack patio abuts a bird sanctuary. He's reported similar instances where communications seem to have passed between him and various individual birds. Why not? You are both animals, after all, and aren't in a hunter/prey relationship.

Don't need to know her intention. Just take it as a wonderful gift and keep it with you. My life is filled with these connections, and sometimes it is with a plant, for gosh sakes!!

Michael and Dawn Marie have been feeding the crows that settle on their ledge for years. Crows recognize faces, and know that these two are benign. They will often accompany Dawn Marie as she walks to work.

There you have it. This heron knows you.
